A Comparative Performance Analysis of Zero Voltage Switching Class E and Selected Enhanced Class E Inverters

This paper presents a comparative analysis of the class E and selected enhanced inverters, namely, second third harmonic group EFn, E/Fn Flat Top inverter. The inverters are designed under identical specifications evaluated against variation switching frequency (f), duty ratio (D), capacitance (k), load resistance (RL). To offer understanding, performance parameters, power output capability, efficiency, peak switch voltage current, resonant capacitor voltages, current in lumped network, determined quantitatively. It is found that EF2 E/F3 general, have higher efficiency comparable capability with respect to More specifically, (parallel LC series network) maintain 90% compared 80% for inverter at optimum operating condition.
